Did you know that ADHD isn’t just a childhood disorder? About 4% of adults over the age of 18 deal with ADHD on a daily basis. Are you struggling to understand how your ADHD is impacting you and need support? Are you a parent who wants to better understand their adolescent with ADHD? Or, does your partner have ADHD and you want to understand how this impacts their functioning? Glenda specializes in working with ADHD and concurrent mental health disorders, such as substance use, anxiety and depression. She brings a vast amount of experience to her work with adults, young people and families who are trying to navigate their lives in the context of ADHD.
Glenda also has experience and a passion for working with seniors. She has a down to earth style that resonates with older adults and they feel heard and understood.
Glenda focuses on where you where you are at, appreciating your unique beliefs and aligning with your values. She provides a warm, empathic, safe and nonjudgmental space to talk about the things that are getting in the way of enjoying your life.
Glenda has specialized training to work with trauma, anxiety and depression. She is trained in the following therapeutic techniques:
· Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
· Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
· Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
· Motivation Interviewing for Substance Use
· Dialectical Therapy (DBT)
· Solution Focused Therapy
