STEPHANIE FELDMAN, MSW, RSW
Stephanie (she/her) is a registered social worker, specializing in trauma-informed practice, who has over 10 years experience working with adolescents and young adults. She works from a relational, somatic and attachment- based lens, and will spend time creating a safe and trusting space with you and for you. She shows up to the therapy space fully human and will not act as a blank state; she will use humour and compassion to facilitate connection. She believes that you are the expert of your experiences, and will work with you authentically and collaboratively with this in mind. She is inspired by the opportunity to work with diverse individuals in a way that acknowledges their experiences, history, culture, sexuality, and everything else that contributes to someone’s unique identity. She emphasizes inclusivity in her work, and is culturally sensitive, gender affirming, anti-racist and 2SLGBTQ+ affirmative.
Stephanie has a strong clinical interest in trauma and attachment. She is experienced in addressing concerns related to substance use, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, peer issues, emotion regulation, decision-making, identity, eating and body issues, academic and learning challenges, and transitioning into new life stages. She works with adolescents and young adults experiencing these challenges in a non-judgmental space, while seeking to understand their specific situation and journey.
She has built her practice around strengths-based, integrative modalities including somatic and mindfulness based practices, expressive arts, trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy. She has completed an introductory training on the Hakomi Method and will be completing the EFT externship this summer.
