Job Posting - Contracting Therapist

 

Registered (will consider Provisional) Psychologist / Clinical Social Worker – Virtual or In-Person Services, Cochrane Counselling Centre (Cochrane/Calgary Alberta)

 

We are looking for motivated therapist(s) who have a passion for providing exceptional client care. We are hiring a contractor(s) who know how to build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships and engage our clients in a meaningful therapeutic process. We are looking for therapists from all backgrounds but particularly those who work with children, families and couples.  They must be able to offer 15+ clinical hours per week.  Our ideal candidate(s) would work from an attachment lens and be trained in EFT, play therapy (or similar attachment focussed modalities) and/or experiential models like IFS, SE or EMDR.

The Cochrane Counselling Centre (CCC) is an established and thriving clinic located in the growing community of Cochrane. We are a team of therapists (and an admin staff) and we are looking to grow with the right people. We are willing to provide supervision to an individual who is the right fit.

This clinic operates from a trauma-informed attachment perspective.

The clinic is owned by two driven and experienced therapists (over 15 years experience). They are Registered Clinical Social Workers and have advanced training and can provide supervision in the following models: ACT, ART, EFT, IFS in addition to many other approaches.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • The ideal candidate has a Masters degree and is Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists or is a Clinical Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and is registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers

  • Current licensure and professional liability insurance for Alberta 

  • Training and supervision specific therapeutic approaches (i.e., EMDR, Play Therapy, EFT, IFS etc,)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Motivated to provide exceptional client care, responsive to clients and open to feedback

  • A desire for continued self-improvement, willingness to self-reflect
